Not very observant
During my recent trip to Varadero, Cuba I took one morning to getting some experience using my SLR camera. I walked around the resort taking numerous shots of a single composition while adjusting the aperture, film speed and shutter speed to see the effect of different settings. I noticed this little light fixture along a pathway and took some time to vary my aperture settings. I was paying attention to having the fixture in focus and blurring the background. It wasn’t until I was back on the Island, meaning PEI, that I realized I had captured two subjects. A geico was posing for this still and I hadn’t even noticed all the cooperation it was giving to me. I laughed at myself as I recalled the number of times in the past I’ve made attempts to photograph one of these little creatures only to have them scurry off on me.
