Majestic horse in training

This photo was taken during one of those spur-of-the-moment opportunities when a friend and I were heading to Milligan’s Wharf near Freeland to see what might be there to photograph one very cold winter day a few weeks ago. I’m still learning how to use my new Canon digital SLR. This horse as it was being trained to pull a sleigh. I hadn’t thought anything about my camera settings as I quickly parked the car on the side of the road to jump out and capture something. I took several photos but I like this one the best. I know the snow is too bright but I love the look of the big snowflakes falling and the horse straining to move forward with the sleigh.
