“Some Weather We’re Having!”

Cover for Weather Calendar 2015Last month I was contacted via my website to find out if I’d be interested in designing a PEI weather trivia calendar. This was to be a fundraiser project for the UPEI Climate Lab under the initiative and authorship of Don Jardine and Dr. Adam Fenech. They had all the weather climate expertise and lots of information to share in the calendar. As I learned the details of the project and read some of the stories I was enthusiastically on board to work with them. They were very receptive to my design suggestions including creating a title for the calendar gave a bit of an Islander’s spin on things.

In this first ever PEI weather trivia calendar PEI history comes to life with 365 stories, one for every day of the year, about Prince Edward Island weather and its impact on Islanders’ everyday life. “Some Weather We’re Having!” is a 2015 calendar that brings stories from North Cape to East Point, West Point to Murray Head—and all points in-between over the past 150 years. In addition to the trivia there is a wonderful collection of stories of Prince Edward Island as told by the Island’s weather. There’s a large full-colour PEI weather photographs for each month as well as many others to complement the stories.

The calendar is having its official launch on May 20, 2014. For details click here.
